Blood from the Mummy's Tomb (1971) Version B -Color with lines by me and Digital Paints by the very talented and super cool:iconvest:

Another fun page from the "MONSTERS MAIDENS & MAYHEM" convention sketchbook I'm doing up.

Very pleased with how this turned out, even though there were a ton of redesigns for this one(more so than the other pages). But the original artwork/poster designs that they used for this had a lot of potential. Plus anything that has a Busty British Bombshell running around in a virtually nonexistent jeweled Scarab top:eyepopping: gets an automatic:thumbsup: at least as far as marketing/aesthetics go.;-)

I'm a huge Egyptology-buff so I have to say this-:police: "There is nothing even remotely historically accurate with ANYTHING in this image. Not the temple or the jewelry/headdress, jeweled Scarab top, sarcophagus lid or the hieroglyphs(which incidentally enough have my name in there). It's all just a fun "campy" British/Hollywood take on ancient Egyptian curses and well...boobs... if you've seen the movie or at least the trailer ya know what I'm talking about." (And yes:nod:the sarcophagus lid, the Egyptian Princess, and the Blade-wielding Babe are all the same person. just different costumes.)

I did up 2 different versions for this one, and everything is pretty much the same except that on Version A the Egyptian Princess doesn't have the jeweled Scarab top=D, and in Version B she does. For the black and white image I prefer the less bulky Version A, but for the digitally colored image, Version B has much more of a "Wow" factor with all the additional colors "Vest" added to her top:eyepopping:. Still looks fun either way.
Enjoy!:icongrin--plz:

it's somewhat of a historical/romance/fantasy kind of story involving Tutankhamun and magic :XD: it's called Timeless Sands and I have the prologue and the first chapter up on DA here's a preview of it. :la:

A new object has appeared and it has been told it is connected to the Golden Pharaoh Tutankhamen himself, this new object dubbed The Sun Stone of Amun Ra has been brought to exhibits all across the globe, along with the King himself, but something sinister arises when thieves break into the Royal Ontario Museum and try to steal the stone along with the Mummy. But Kathrin Alexander, the curator’s granddaughter, and a woman that loves all of history tries to stop them, only to become a witness to something she had never thought possible in her whole life after the stone breaks!

I hope you read it, and if you do I hope you enjoy it too :huggle:

Have you thought about writing for graphic novels/comics?

I have actually, but the likely hood of me landing such a job is very slim to none... :( which is very disappointing I'd love to write for any kind of genre.
May I ask why you brought that up? :)

You're right:nod: about it being super-tough to land a writing gig for graphic novels/comics unless you produce your own.:)

I'm doing up a historical/romance/comedy script for a comic-series I'll be producing(i.e. Writing and financing, but not drawing.:)) and was just curious. I love anything to do with ancient Egypt and there aren't any graphic novels/comics that I can think of that are currently using it for a backdrop.

Read over your 1st chapter and liked it a lot. Would love to see a visual interpretation of it.:w00t: Lookin' forward to reading the 2nd chapter.:icongrin--plz:
